As President of the Community Chamber of Commerce of East Montgomery County I want to welcome you to our new Blog. We will use this exciting new tool to help keep you up to date on what is happening in East Montgomery County. We look forward to announcing new projects, updates on existing projects and other exciting happenings in our area.
Our first update is on our membership. We now have 367 members thanks in great part to our great volunteers who brought in 44 new members over a three day period during the last week of August. For the month of August we welcomed 53 new members and 2 existing members upgraded their investment level. Special thanks goes to Rene' Matthews and Crystal Ireland with Signagy who each brought in 8 new members, as did Russel Blue. Teri Kropik with SOS Home Inspection brought in 7. It was an exciting three days and we really appreciate their support of the Chamber. We look forward to continued growth as our area really begins to develop with new businesses.
Our September membership luncheon was a celebration of our area teachers. The education committee hosted the luncheon and welcomed 2006-2007 Teachers of the Year from our schools in New Caney ISD, Splendora ISD and the Caney Creek feeder zone of Conroe ISD as well as Kingwood College. A record luncheon crowd of 200 attended and help celebrate the success of these great teachers.
